This weekend we were fortunate to organise a special event for the Cambridge wine enthusiasts. Along with our annual degustation there, the artist Gurpran Rau exihibted some of her works. She primarily draws the inspiration from her travels, expressively translating impressions and recollections into strokes and brushes.
During here travels she has also visited the Mosel. With this inspiration she created the piece "Mosel Autumn" especially for this event. I was immediately captivated by its expressive colours and strong references to our home. And so the painting now decorates the entrance to our vinotheque. Distinctive art and distinctive wines — that is indeed a great fit.
Of course we would also like to thank the English part of our family for their help and support. We hope you enjoyed the weekend as much as we did.
